My story

[p]THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to all those who have supported me so far. I am blown away by your generosity and support. Someone suggested I should increase my target now that the original of £500 has been exceeded and suggested I try for £100 an hour through the night - making my new target £800 ! Ambitious, certainly, but maybe we can get there. Every penny donated helps people who have nothing and EVERY penny raised goes to the work of the Julian Trust.[/p][p]OK, so I have signed up and committed to support the event. Some friends have already said I must be mad, but then most know that already![/p][p]Why am I doing this - because I can; Simples! The guests of Julian Trust don't have the choice I have.[/p][p]Like most of you reading this, I have a comfortable home and a warm bed to sleep in each night and often I forget about those who don't have what I take for granted. So this is my chance to actually get off my backside and do something positive. It's just so easy to think 'someone else should do something' or just 'chuck a tenner in the pot', but instead I've got off my ...backside... and decided to do it and make some friends and family laugh in the process.[/p][p]By co-incidence the event ends on the morning of my birthday; a day when I would like a nice long lie-in my comfy bed and perhaps be brought a cup of tea and get ready for a party. (Not this year!) The people supported by The Julian Trust don't have that luxury, so please give me a birthday present of sponsorship which will go straight to providing those with the least with a little warmth and comfort.[/p][p]Been amazed at the supportive comments so far - the two words which follow are just not enough, but...[/p][p]Thank you.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Chris[/p]

Fair play to you! Not a way I would chose to spend my Birthday - but what a wonderful thing to do to support and highlight those that are far less fortunate than ourselves. Hope the weather is kind to you!
