My story

[p]Please help me raise £15,000 for the Architects Benevolent Society [/p][p]I have recently been chosen to compete in the London Marathon on behalf of the Architects Benevolent Society, a charity dedicated to helping architects and their families in times of need be it through illness, accident, redundancy, unemployment, bereavement or other personal difficulties.[/p][p]I started running aged 40, when I gave up Sunday morning football, and ran 10 marathons over the next few years including London, Paris, Barcelona, Boston, and New York. I still run, but haven't competed in a marathon for 15 years, so it will be interesting (and daunting) to see how it goes now I have a TfL Freedom Pass! I used to try to keep under 3 hours 30 but now I will just be pleased to finish. [/p][p] ABS is a fantastic cause to come out of my long distance retirement for, particularly with their emphasis on the mental health of architects of all ages. [/p][p]For more about the work of ABS please visit www.absnet.org.uk[/p]
