My story

[p]Hi there, at some time either ourselves or someone we love has been or will be affected with mental health difficulties. I have suffered myself with issues after the birth of my second child and for some time afterwards too. Feelings of isolation and fear of the future were difficult to talk about but I did eventually seek help and through therapy was able to cope. Ten years later I have now retrained as a therapist and am working as a volunteer at Wellspring. Located in Starbeck, Harrogate Wellspring offer affordable, professional and confidential counselling to individuals, couples and children needing support. We have recently moved to new premises which will allow us to grow and offer an increased service to the community, critically important especially given the practically non existent NHS mental health provision. Wellspring is a self funding charity and rely on donations and local fundraising to be able to operate and that where you come in. Running the marathon is a huge challenge for me and I hope you will able to support me in getting to my target of £1500. You might be interested to follow me on my training blog lloydiesrunningblog.wordpress.com where I will be sharing training highs and lows throughout this winter and race day photographs. I would love to hear from you ! Thanks so much for your support Claire xx[/p]
