[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page.[/p][p]On Saturday 8 December I will be sleeping out in Princes Street Gardens to raise money and awareness to tackle the issue of homelessness.[/p][p]2 years ago my colleague at Cullen Property, Malcolm Warrack, took part in the CEO Sleepout and helped to raise £500,000. This was put towards the cost of the Social Bite Village in Granton, Edinburgh, a unique development providing homes and extensive support to up to 20 people experiencing homelessness. It welcomed its first residents earlier this year.[/p][p]Last year a team of 7 Cullen Property staff took part in the first Sleep in the Park. We match funded donations and raised around £12,000 in total. It was an unforgettable experience on the coldest night of last winter and reinforced to us all the appalling challenges that rough sleepers experience on a nightly basis. The event as a whole raised over £3.6m. Even more importantly it led to some significant policy developments in Scotland’s battle to tackle homelessness such as Housing First, a program to bring 800 rough sleepers into mainstream housing.[/p][p]Earlier this year I became Cullen Property’s chairman and decided to continue Cullen Property’s support of Social Bite and Sleep in the Park.[/p][p]Cullen Property has been providing homes to our tenants since 1998. We are incredibly fortunate to live and work in Scotland’s beautiful capital city, but we are also painfully aware that many are not so fortunate and some do not have anywhere to call home. We are proud to support Social Bite in its mission to end homelessness in Scotland.[/p][p]As last year Cullen Property will match fund any donations (including gift aid) up to our target of £3,000.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
Well done Ben! Also huge thanks to everyone who has contributed and supported you in reaching your funding target. Cullen are delighted to help boost the amount further with this donation for the campaign against homelessness!
