Team story

[p]WHO?[/p][p]A dozen NHS employees currently working in theatres at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.[/p][p][/p][p]WHAT?[/p][p]Rowing a small Cornish gig 50 miles across the English Channel from Nieuwpoort, Belgium to Ramsgate, England.[/p][p][/p][p]WHEN?[/p][p]June 2016[/p][p][/p][p]WHY?[/p][p]We are raising money for the Dreams Come True charity which provides children with life changing illnesses the opportunity to fulfil a dream and have a memorable experience.  A work colleague of ours has an inspirational 2 year old son who sadly suffers with a life changing illness.  George suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and is currently on a course of oral chemotherapy for a further 2 years.  To date he has endured 876 medical interventions including blood transfusions, lumbar punctures, spinal chemo and many stays in hospital.  Despite all this George wants to be as normal a 2 year old boy as possible and has recently started nursery school for a few hours a week.[/p][p]It would be great to raise money for George and the charity and allow him a life experience and something to look forward to as well as remember.[/p][p]Please donate whatever you can and follow us on our journey. [/p][p]You can learn more about us and the challenge by visiting our website.[/p][p]Thanks, Barney[/p][p]http://qacharitychannelrow.com[/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][/p]
