My story

[p]I am taking on a mammoth of a challenge in aid of a special charity that I co-founded called Vision Care for Homeless People. In November I am planning on trekking in Nepal from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and back. Not only will I be facing the challenge of trekking for 12 days with an altitude gain of 4,500m in a distance of 130km, but I will have to face my fear which is heights! Lots of my friends will tell you about times I have been seen on all fours climbing a steep hill or a tall building and I will need all the incentives I can get to trek this route, particularly crossing over 11 bridges.[/p][p]Corrected vision for homeless and other vulnerable people is essential for confidence, skill building, accessing benefits, finding accommodation, finding work or just surviving in a high risk environment.[/p][p]I am covering 100% of the costs of this challenge so every penny you donate goes directly to delivering eye care to homeless and vulnerable people in the UK.[/p]
