[p]Support Elephant Valley Project Cambodia[/p][p]Our story[/p][p]We started as a small mobile vet team, travelling around eastern Cambodia looking for ways to help captive, endangered Asian elephants. [/p][p]Now, the Elephant Valley Project has been working hard for over 14 years to improve the health and welfare of captive elephants in Cambodia, to conserve natural habitat for remaining wild elephants, and to support the local people who work with these magnificent creatures.[/p][p]And we could not do this work without you.[/p][p]Thanks to visitors supporting the sanctuary through our eco-tourism program, we are able to: [/p][p]-Give captive elephants the chance to roam free in the jungle[/p][p]-Provide local Bunong people with quality healthcare and access to living-wage jobs[/p][p]-Protect Cambodia’s threatened forests and biodiversity[/p][p]But, this isn’t always enough. When there is a dip in tourism worldwide, we feel the effects. If we experience a slow season, we are put in a difficult position. [/p][p]Will you please help us continue this work by making a small donation today? [/p][p]By making a donation today to our General Fundraiser, you are helping us deal with emergencies such as emergency elephant healthcare, extra food the elephants, or unforseen health costs for our staff. This makes a huge difference for us.[/p][p]On behalf of all EVP staff and elephants, we really appreciate all of your support and sincerely thank you for your donation.[/p][p]Jack Highwood[/p][p]ELIE & EVP Founder[/p][p]PS - Feel free to write in the comments box if you’d like your donation to go toward a specific fund or initiative. [/p][p]Donations made here will be kindly processed (in UK pounds) and sent to EVP via our partner organisation, Globalteer, a UK registered Charity. If you are a UK taxpayer, please do not forget to gift aid your donations.[/p]
