My story

[p]10 challenges in 10 months - complete [/p][p][/p][p]Hello, my name is Emma. In 2006, at the age of 16, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia. So far my treatment has included an unrelated bone marrow transplant, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and donor lymphocyte infusions. Despite all the treatment I am still fighting leukaemia.[/p][p]This year will be 10 years since I was diagnosed, so I would like to commemorate this by carrying out 10 challenges. Starting in January I will be doing one challenge per month for 10 months. [/p][p]January - 10 hour Bowlathon - complete[/p][p]February - Skydive - complete[/p][p]March - 100m Abseil - complete[/p][p]April - 10 London Football Stadiums in 10 hours by Tuk Tuk - complete [/p][p]May - 10 European Capitals in 10 days - complete[/p][p]June - 182m Bungy jump - complete[/p][p]July - Hydrospeeding - complete[/p][p]August - Diving with Sharks - complete[/p][p]September - Wing Walk - complete[/p][p]November - 10 laps of Silverstone Stowe circuit - complete[/p][p][/p][p]I also held a Charity Ball in October and a Christmas Fun Day in December.[/p][p][/p][p]All of the charities that I am fundraising for have helped me throughout my treatment, therefore I would like to give back to them and be able to help others. [/p][p]I believe charities like this play a vital part in helping so many people through a very difficult time in their lives. It is my aim to raise awareness of these charities and to raise as much as I possibily can for them.[/p][p]Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
