My story

[p]Over the last year I've been lucky enough to do some work for the Miscarriage Association. [/p][p]Working with young people who have experienced pregnancy loss and developing the Miscarriage Association's online support services has made me very aware of the number of people dealing with this particular kind of loss. It's the loss of hopes and plans, grief for a future that will no longer be.[/p][p]The work has been particularly meaningful for me as I have friends and family who have experienced pregnancy loss. Natasha writes about her experience here. It's well worth a read.[/p][p]One in four pregnancies end in miscarriage yet most people don't know where to turn or what to expect when it happens. Strain on the NHS means medical support can be inconsistent and confusing. For many the Miscarriage Association is the only place where they can access understanding, informative and non judgemental support for as long as they need it. [/p][p]The Miscarriage Association is a tiny organisation doing amazing things. They are involved in research, run awareness campaigns, train health professionals and offer help and information to anyone affected by pregnancy loss.[/p][p]I know that Foster running is hardly news but I was lucky enough to get a Good for Age place this year and I'm going to try and smash the 3hour 30min time. Which also means I will beat my brothers marathon time. If you think any of that is worth a few quid, we'd really appreciate it. [/p]
