My story

[p]I thought last year was going to be my last year in the saddle, but over the last 12 months watching my wife deal with the strongest form of M.S. has humbled me in so many ways. What we take for granted just jumping out of bed and leading our daily lives, is for her such a challenge. By the afternoon she is exhausted to the point of simply having to just stop!! [/p][p]Albeit that for me I’m truly gutted that for the first time in my life I cannot change anything, neither with money or “Who you know” ………. [/p][p]But every day she is my biggest inspiration with her[/p][p]bravery, her amazing determination and her positivity. She is a proud and very beautiful[/p][p]woman who everyday has to plan and manage her day, but she never moans, nor[/p][p]does she want any pity, she powers on. I am in awe of her.[/p][p]Now when I said to her that I’m not doing anymore rides[/p][p]for charity, she turned to me and said “how dare you not use your physical ability[/p][p]to help others, when you can” Wow that was powerful and gave me a proverbial kick.[/p][p]So, this year I’ve decided to take up an almighty challenge for the MS Trust and Norwood, I’m going to do not one but two mammoth challenges. I going to ride 450 km in the Croatian mountains then off to Northern Rural China to ride 425 kms in the mountains and treacherous terrain. These 2 events will be the most daunting I’ve ever undertaken and now at close to 62 will be a monumental physical challenge, but I ride with my wife’s strength and proxy so I should be ok.[/p][p]So I’m going to ask you to please support these wonderful charities but more importantly show my wife that you understand that the MS Society needs all the funds possible to hopefully one day eradicate this awful disabling condition and help Norwood to help 1,000s of people with learning disabilities improve their lives.[/p][p]Please dig deep and donate, for the M.S. Trust and Norwood who I am sharing the fundraising equally amongst. [/p][p]Please click on the link and give a little bit more than your first thought, Thank you[/p]
