[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]This years trail will be different from last year and on two National Trails and a well walked one as opposed to miles of very difficult path conditions last year.[/p][p]I will begin at Dufton to follow the River Tees to Teesmouth, hop across to Redcar to pick up the Cleveland Way to Filey, then extend to Flamborough Head, returning to Filey to start the Yorkshire Wolds Way to Hull,a total of 253 miles. My daily Blog can be found on penkridge.org.uk[/p][p]I lost my Wife to Cancer in1999 aged 46,we muddled through as best we could, enjoyimg the good days and getting through the bad ones, with no support offerd, until the last 3 days of her life.[/p][p]Macmillan has changed since then and reaches 3 out 4 of people diagnosed with Cancer. but needs to reach everyone and support their families. What continually drives me is that no one should be left alone and without ,Financial,Medical.Practical and Emotional support.[/p][p]I arrived home on June 5th,quite tired, but so grateful to the many kind and generous people i met along the way.it is a very humbling experience.[/p][p]The firs six days were too hot for me,with difficult walking around Yarm and beyond, through the "Black Lane" in Middlesborough.[/p][p]The weather was quite challenging at times along the Cleveland Way,but a wonderful 2 days from Runswick Bay to Scarborough.Heavy rain throughout the following week, with almost a fatal slip off a narrow ledge on Flamborough Head, but thankfull was holding onto  a fence post in anticipation.Bempton Cliffs were astounding,300 fppt chalk cliffs, plunging down into the sea, covered with nesting Puffins & Kittewakes[/p][p]The Yorkshire Wolds were amazing, big green hills covered with Whear,Barley and Rape, sweping all around me.It was really quiet and as some say Yorkshires best kept secret.[/p][p]I now have a combined totalof £1659.75 raised with support of my family and friends[/p][p]Thank you again for your generousity and messages of support.[/p][p]Best wishes,[/p][p]Keith[/p]
