Team story

[p]Hi I'm Ken and I love bikes. They are literally my life.[/p][p]I've been riding pretty much all my life but 7 years ago I took the plunge and opened up my own full time training school. The idea was not only to teach people how to ride a bike safely but also to help open up a biking network so once you've passed your test you had other people to go on 'joy rides' with.[/p][p]When I'm not working, which is very rare, I still enjoy going out on my bike, visiting places and just being out on the open road. In the past few years I've started doing a bit more touring and venturing further a field, visiting Germany and the Nurburgring several times. For me theres nothing more enjoyable than being on a bike.[/p][p]One of the things on I guess most bikers 'bucket list' is Route 66, but with work and day to day life getting in the way its just one of those things I kept putting back...until I met Darren at the bike show.  Darren told me about the "Bike Tours for the Wounded" and I thought wow what a fantastic opportunity to ride the famous route but also to give something back to our troops, who without riders like me taking them as pillion would probably miss out on this once in a lifetime experience. I was pretty much buying my plane ticket there and then.....[/p][p]I know its going to be a fantastic experience and I hope I can give my pillion Jeff just the same fantastic time.[/p][p]Along with Jeff, we will both be aiming to raise as much money as possible for forces charities who help in so many different ways.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
