My story

[p]Donate for Kerala Flood Victims - Fundraiser - Relief & Rehabilitation[/p][p]Malayali Association Sutton, Surrey (MASS) is a non-profit, non-political, cultural organisation of people from the state of Kerala, one of the southern state of India. [/p][p]MASS is conducting a fundraiser with a goal of collecting £5000 to help the victims of the recent Kerala Floods . MASS cancelled the Onam celebration (Cultural festival of Kerala) planned on 15th Sep to raise money for the Kerala relief fund. We are now seeking your generous help to collect more money. Target date for the collection is 20 Sep 2018.[/p][p]MASS will be working with the British Malayali Charity and Kerala Government's relief fund authorities to distribute the money collected through this fundraising.[/p][vmgvideo class="ql-video" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/xj7ZEi8ytFo?showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3"][/vmgvideo][p]As you may be already aware, Kerala has been bashed with heavy rains and is suffering from catastrophic floods for the last couple of weeks. More than 300 people lost their life and hundreds of thousands have their homes and livelihoods. Close to a million people are living in flood relief camps. For the first time in the history 30+ reservoirs of the Kerala state are opened as they got filled and that caused additional flooding in the downstream areas. The devastation caused is unprecedented and never seen before. The floods destroyed crops and infrastructure to unthinkable extent. [/p][p]We humbly request you to take action and contribute generously to provide aid and support for the victims of the Kerala floods. Your donation can help the people of Kerala in the flood-hit regions receive shelter, food and clothes. You can help make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by this natural disaster. [/p][p]If you are a UK taxpayer, please TICK THE GIFT AID BOX. This collection will receive an extra 25% from HMRC on top of your donation at no extra cost to you.[/p]
