Our goal is to raise at least £500,000, all of which will go direct to medical research. Now in our third year of the ride I am older, heavier and more injured than ever. It will hurt. [b][i]At the moment DMD is 100% fatal with no cure; most children die in their early 20s from heart or respiratory failure and every child ends up in a wheelchair by the age of 12-14.
