[p]This would have been the 8th year of the Duchenne Dash from London to Paris to raise money to help find cure and treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Covid 19 has meant we can't do it - so I will cycling the same 300km distance in the UK on June 12th/13th. The money raised by the Dash is funding amazing trials and helping push closer each year to beating this fatal disease. The charity has become a global movement and achieved amazing things. Please help and give whatever you can to let us keep funding it. Despite Covid 19 and the fall in charitable giving your money will go to real projects delivering scientific advances. Rest assured it will NOT be going to fund the overheads of the charity. [/p][p]Two families a week in the UK are told that their child has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a devastating muscle wasting disease that mainly affects boys.[/p][p] DMD is a desperately cruel disease. It's the most common genetic killer of children worldwide. Children will be totally paralysed by their teens and many won't live beyond their 20s. [/p][p]There is no treatment or cure.
