My story

[p] Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!! [/p][p] [/p][p] As some of you already know, I have foolishly signed up to run the 2018 London Marathon on 22 April (it seemed like a good idea at the time!) to raise money for ‘The Kent Autistic Trust’. [/p][p] [/p][p] This is a cause very close to my heart with my eldest son being diagnosed with Autism last year. As a parent i found myself searching for information, support, help and answers to the daily challenges presented by autism. KAT Family support have been a huge source of comfort, encouragement and help. I felt totally relieved that there was someone out there who not only understood what I was going through and could offer me knowledge, advice and some support through the maze of the benefits system, but also to be there in the background should i at any time be struggling to manage the rollercoaster ride that results from loving and caring for someone on the autistic spectrum. Autism is very different from a physical disability because you never know what each day is going to bring.[/p][p] [/p][p] I now want to help them, so that they can help more people! I am hoping to raise £2,000 for this fantastic charity. These guys do incredible work, so it would mean an awful lot if you could donate generously to help me reach or even surpass this ambitious total. [/p][p] [/p][p] Much love! X [/p][p] [/p][p] The Kent Autistic Trust The Kent Autistic Trust has been providing support for adults with Autism and other associated difficulties since 1989, The Trust along with our Family Support provision provide services for over 5,000 people with Autism in a variety of setting including; registered homes, specialist supported living, community day based vocational centre’s, a respite service, support and social skills groups across Kent and Medway. [/p][p] [/p][p] Donating through Virgin Money Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe, they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Or if you don't like donating on line, give me a shout and I will happily provide an address to send donations too, or collect any pennies you are able to spare.[/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p]
