My story

[p]Earlier this year, my annual blood tests and examination at the Great Western Hospital confirmed that I had now been in remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma for 5 years. I realised this was a watershed but when told I would not need any more check-ups by my Consultant Haematologist I was surprised how I felt. It marked the close of one of the most memorable seasons of my life. [/p][p]To express my gratitude and support the development of more effective treatments for Lymphoma and other blood cancers I will be raising funds for ‘Bloodwise’ by taking part in RideLondon100. This is part of the annual cycling festival sponsored by Prudential and takes place on Sunday 4 August.[/p][p]I have been given the target of £400. Although I do not wish to discourage generosity, I would love to raise this by many people making small donations of (say £5) gift-aided where possible. If you would spread the word among those who may know or remember me, that would be great.[/p][p]For those who did not follow my story, part of it featured in a Sunday paper which can be found here:[/p][p]https://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/active/mens-health/10357778/Bishop-of-Swindon-A-strangers-sneeze-could-kill-me-but-I-still-think-of-my-lymphoma-as-a-gift.html[/p]
