My story

[p]Hi All, [/p][p]This year i will be taking on the London marathon and pushing my body to the limit to try and complete it in under 4 hours. Whilst doing so i have decided to raise money for the Electrical Industries Charity.[/p][p] The aim is to raise vital funds for an extremely worthwhile cause; the Caz Dickinson appeal. I heard about Caz's story at a Charity Ball in 2018 and her story really moved me and made me realise just how precious our health is and how quickly your situation can change.[/p][p]Caz Dickinson, a mother, grandmother and loving wife spent 15 years working in the electrical industry for a wholesaler until her life changed in the blink of an eye. In 2009, Caz suffered a coughing fit and suddenly collapsed, hitting her head on the bathroom floor. She was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 brain haemorrhage. This has left irreversible brain damage. The family has struggled without financial aid. The ongoing expenses, combined with Caz's husband being made redundant, resulted in the family losing their home in 2013.[/p][vmgvideo class="ql-video" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/1TW_BVPuCpc?showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3"][/vmgvideo][p][br][/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me where donations will be quickly processed and passed to the EIC. Collectively with other fundraisers the EIC hope to raise £250,000 for the Dickinson family to provide them with a lasting family home for Caz's development and care.[/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p][p]Your support is greatly appreciated and many thanks in advance for any donations.[/p]
