[p]We are an independent workshop in Anlaby, Hull aiming to raise money throughout the whole of 2019 for 2 local charities. [/p][p]Whatever amount our customers pledge, A&A Motors will match it.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The 2 charities we are raising funds for are; Cardiac Risk in the Young in association with Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund and The Stephen Hughes Foundation.[/p][p]Both these charities aim at raising awareness of Myocarditis and Giant Cell Myocarditis.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The Jamie Loncaster Memorial Fund was set up by his family, in memory of Jamie who sadly passed away from ‘Severe Myocarditis’ in 2015, aged just 13. The fund is held with and established national charity, ‘Cardiac Risk in the Young’ but all donations are ring-fenced and used by the family to provide free heart screenings to young people in the local area.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The second charity we are fundraising for is The Stephen Hughes Foundation. The foundation was set up by friends and family in memory of Stephen who sadly passed away in October 2014 after a 6 month battle with Giant Cell Myocarditis. The charity's core purpose is to fund badly needed research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of myocarditis. [/p][p][br][/p][p]We are arranging various fundraising events throughout the whole year, starting with our Easter Egg raffle in March-April, then members of the A&A Motors team will be taking part in an Inflatable 5K assault course in June, and we will be doing a Cake sale in September. Also throughout the year, members of the team will be taking part in 10K runs too, whilst trying to raise funds for both charities. [/p]
