My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the [span=text-decoration: underline;]Cystic Fibrosis[/span] [span=text-decoration: underline;](CF) Trust[/span]. My daughter, Isobel (Issy) has CF.  This is a life limiting, respiratory disease for which the Trust campaigns tirelessly to find a cure. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the Trust's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]'To my darling Isobel,[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]My wonderfully happy 13 year old girl who is forever smiling, laughing, and of course, Irish dancing! You are always surrounded by friends - going shopping or bowling or having sleepovers – and I adore seeing you happy![/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]But what people don’t know, what people don’t see  is the daily regime you have to go through, as you live your life with cystic fibrosis: The 30 or so  tablets you take every day; the  nebulised medications and the chest physiotherapy you need 3 times a day to try and clear your lungs of secretions; going into hospital every 3 months for 2 weeks at a time for IV antibiotics and intense physiotherapy; the repeated stomach cramps you get from mal-absorption of fat; the episodes of vasculitis which are so painful that sometimes you cannot walk; the times when you are awake half the night from coughing; the migraines that plague you. And the times when your lung function drops, sometimes to just 50%. [/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]People don’t see that because you never complain about it, you never moan – you cope with it, you live with it and you don’t let it define you.  You don’t talk about it, you don’t question it, and you don’t let it beat you. Your strength of character, your determination to succeed at everything you do, completely humbles me.[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]You are my hero, my inspiration, my raison d’etre. And in comparison to all that you deal with, the challenge I face of running the London Marathon is tiny, but I promise you this: I will run every step of the London Marathon 2016 with you in my mind and in my heart and I will do everything I can do to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis and the amazing work the Cystic Fibrosis Trust do in trying to find a cure, and help those with the disease, to live better lives.[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]I am so proud of you and EVERYTHING you are and do.  Keep fighting, my darling and remember:[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]‘You are Braver than you believe, [/span][lt]/span[gt][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]Stronger than you seem, [/span][lt]/span[gt][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]Smarter than you think, and [/span][lt]/span[gt][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]Twice as beautiful as you’ve ever imagined.’ [/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]And when you compete at the Irish Dancing World Championships in March this year, think of this, and how incredible your achievements are. You are amazing. I love you.[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p][span=color: #800080;][lt]span style="color: #0000ff;"[gt]Forever, Mummy xxx'[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p]To anyone who has been kind enough to read this, please help us to win this fight, and donate whatever you can. Thank you so much, Lynn x[/p]
