[/p][p]Sailing across the Atlantic! - sip-puff sailing/breath control[/p][p]I have cerebral palsy and have learnt to sail an adapted boat by breath, using a sip-puff system, and a boat with lots of technology designed to help converted by my Dad. I have been sailing for 14 years now and love it ,I have worked really hard to get to this stage along with my family who always support me it has given me so much, I hope to inspire more people by sailing 3000 miles arcross the Atlantic. I love being useful, i dont have a job becuase of my complex needs and the support i need, but because I have found something I can do, I want to use this to help others, which is really important to me.[/p][p]www.missisle.com[/p][p][br][/p][p]I am raising money for 3 charities that all mean a lot to me.[/p][p]MissIsle Charity it a small charity i help set up with my family and friends to help others with similar needs to me , to be able to acheive their dreams too. We currently provide sailing in the specially adaped boat I first used, but this year want to raise funds to send 3 young people and carers to an activity centre for a holiday to find their passion..... The centre is where i went 14 years ago and discovered my passion for sailing![/p][p]The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust for their amazing work helping young people rebuild their life and give them the confidence they need following treatmeant for cancer. I see so many happy people on the Trust boats having lots of fun again and their work is so important.[/p][p]The RNLI, Cowes RNLI saved a friend of mine some years ago after a very nasty sailing accident so i want to help them. I live on an Island surrounded by water and as well as sailing there are lots of water activities , the RNLI work hard all year round to keep all of us safer on the water or by the shore [/p][p]Please help me and donate/sponsor me if you can!
