[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. [/p] [p]Aman, Upi, Mandeep, Charlena, Rosie & Gulsabaah ("the Group") will be climbing Mount Snowdon this October. [/p][p]The two chosen charities are, Kidney Research and Alzheimer's Society and all money raised will be split equally between the two. [/p][p]There are many charities out there all supporting good causes, however the Group have come together to raise funds for these two particular charities as they are close to Aman's and Upi's hearts:[/p][p] [span=text-decoration: underline;]Kidney Research[/span][lt]br /[gt] Kidney disease affects 3 million people in the U.K. alone and is known to be a silent killer. Our dad has been living with kidney disease for over 5 years and is on dialysis. For those of you who don't know, dialysis helps clean the blood, a function that our kidneys normally do. Last year, our dad had the misfortune of going through a failed kidney transplant. He is now back on the transplant waiting list. [/p][p][lt]br /[gt] Currently there is no cure, however money raised can help fund vital research into the causes and treatment of Kidney Disease. [/p][p][lt]br /[gt] [span=text-decoration: underline;]Alzheimer's Society[/span] [span=text-decoration: underline;][lt]br /[gt] [/span]For us, dementia is the hardest thing for us to watch our loved ones go through. Watching the person, you've known since such a young age, forget who you are, and become distant from the person they once were. What pains us is nothing compared to what they must be going through in their minds. Our grandparents have played a major part in our lives and to watch them suffer with dementia has been heart wrenching and eye opening. It’s difficult knowing that we can't do anything to help ease their mind. However, money raised can help provide care to not only our grandparents but to millions of people affected by dementia. [/p] [p][/p][p]Every little bit of money donated will help make a huge difference!
