My story

It wasn’t quite the moment in the picture with my good friend Doug, pondering life and stuff, but earlier in the year we decided to give something back…when we met The Children’s Trust.

This charity cares for children who have suffered an injury or contracted a disease that causes significant or catastrophic neurological damage.

These amazing people do amazing things, caring for children with the acquired brain injuries.

They provide primary care and education for up to 70 children at any one time. Kids are there for as little as a few days to perhaps until adulthood. A sense of the scale of the care they provide is that it takes over 400 staff to care for the 70 kids. So with such an intensive ratio and all the specialist equipment required to care for them you can only begin to believe the money it takes every year.

Seeing them at work and the random way life can so quickly change for the worst, hits home hard and especially pulls on the heart strings of any parent.

So in November we are off to cycle 350 Kms in difficult terrain in Cuba to raise money for the Children’s Trust. Sounds good…well I thought so too until I found out about the 7-8 hours a day on the bike and the 7k mountain to climb!

So if you can, please support me in raising some hard cash for the Kids who need it and please donate as much as you can no amount is too small.

Thank You

Neil
