Team story

Six members of the NFA Wales and South West team have enthusiastically decided to embark on one of their biggest challenges to date by taking part in the 2013 Cardiff Half Marathon, running for a charity that has a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. The six brave souls in question are Stuart Oliver, Sabine Ruehl and Rachel Ellacott (Supervising Social Workers), Matt Holmes (Referral Co-ordinator), Ann-Marie Davies (Team Manager) and Trish Jarrett (Regional Manager). Excluding Trish Jarrett, who will be looking to set a new personal best, this will be the team’s first attempt at taking on the gruelling, yet stunning 13.1 mile course, taking runners right past Cardiff’s most iconic landmarks, historic buildings and beautiful scenery. The team will be running and collecting donations for an extremely worthwhile cause, CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. CLIC Sargent provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help children and young people with cancer and their families to cope with the illness and the effect it has on family life. Please be generous and support this fantastic cause!
