My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our page![/p][p]“[i]Inspiring others is one of the corner stones of this charity, to demonstrate to those who have experienced life-changing injuries that everything is possible[/i].” Prince Harry[/p] [p]We are proud that our chosen charity for 2016 is Walking With The Wounded. The work they do has inspired us to collectively attempt to raise £100k this year. This amazing charity supports all veterans with physical, mental or social injuries to gain the skills and qualifications necessary to develop new careers outside the military, re-integrate into society and provide long-term security for themselves and their families.[/p] [p]Four of our directors have decided to do something amazing. The ‘1000-mile club’ is an extraordinary challenge that Park Leisure has set itself to help raise funds for this wonderful charity. Over 11 days, Gary, Miles, James and Olly will cycle to each of our parks and finish at our headquarters in York. That is an incredible 1000 miles.[/p] [p]Along with the team at park, you can join the 1000 Miles Club too and raise your own sponsorship.  At Par Sands we would love for you, your family and friends to become inspired and join us for our [b]Zip Wire challenge[/b]. [/p] [p]Covering 660 meters and reaching speeds of 60mph, our friends at the eden project play host to England’s fastest and longest zip wire. With an entry level sponsorship of £25, you get to soar above the Biomass at the Eden Project and receive an exclusive Walking With The Wounded t-shirt.[/p] [p]The challenge takes place on Saturday 6[sup]th[/sup] August between 1800-2000, which is after the zip wire has closed to the general public so we have exclusive use for this charity challenge. Following the event, we will transport you back to Par Sands or alternatively you can follow in the footsteps of our directors and run the 6km back to our park.[/p] [p]If you don’t fancy the zip wire challenge, then don’t worry, we will be having an all-day family fun day on park on Saturday 6[sup]th[/sup] August.  There will be loads to do for you, your family and friends whilst raising money for this great cause. [/p] [p]To join us in this 1000 Mile Club, all you need to do is get yourself some sponsorship. We can help you if you need advice on how to do this and there is a sponsorship form available. You can make such a difference whilst also having some fun, so please let’s do our veterans proud and raise as much money as we can. Together, we can achieve our £100k target.[/p] [p]Thanks in anticipation for your support and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday 6[sup]th[/sup] August.[/p] [p]Don't fancy the challenge and still want to support this fantastic charity - than please donate now.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p]I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]Sacha & all at Milos Italian & Par Sands Holiday Park[/p]
