[p]Wicked Weather Watch is a marvellous charity that I am honoured to be involved with. I deeply believe that children should be taught about climate change in a positive way that educates them and inspires them to take action on the emergency we face. By bringing real polar explorers and scientists into the classroom, both in person and digitally, and employing a range of creative strategies, from street dance to cooking, WWW really gets children and their teachers engaged with climate change, and helps them to understand how we can all more use resources more sustainably to conserve our fragile planet. [/p][p]Wicked Weather Watch wants to reach every primary school in the UK so as well as running workshops, assemblies and events for children, it trains teachers how to incorporate climate education into their curricula and has produced an excellent range of resources that are free for teachers to download and use in the classroom.[/p][p]WWW is a tiny charity and really needs your financial help to continue equipping primary schools with the crucial curriculum-linked information they currently lack. Every donation that you give will help them reach more children and teachers. I'm so passionate about the work they do that I help as a trustee but more than that, I'm putting myself way out of my comfort zone to train (in this hot summer!) to run a half marathon. I've got a struggle ahead of me but it's nothing compared with what our children have ahead of them. The thought that I can help educate them about our changing climate and inspire them to act is going to power me through those long, hot miles. I hope you'll be supporting me - and Wicked Weather Watch - too.[/p][p][br][/p]
