My story

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

As the General Manager of Marketing and Strategy for Lexus I am delighted that we can sponsor such an activity, and believe that it is only fair that I take part in the Challenge.

I have a team of 4 participating from Lexus head office, being myself, Jon Micklefield, Paul Clack and Paul Vecchione. In addition I have supported a team of four from the Lexus network which include Adele from Guildford, Rob Frewer from Sytner Group, Scott Gammey from Edinburgh and Steve Tapp from Coventry. There is also a team from Lexus Hatfield taking part which includes the one and only Richard Hill (he is sponsored by Lexus Hadfield) and Richard George, the Centre Principal. None of us have undertaken such a venture as this (although Richard George is doing Lans End to John O Groats in August as preactice!), but there are a coupe of marathon runners within our midst seeking a fresh challenge. I am really looking forward to this challenge and am glad to have established Lexus as the main sponsor. In my time I have enjoyed both cycling and rugby, and am now involved in coaching the U7s at the Pulborough Rugby Club in West Sussex (my son plays in the u7s)!I am a strong believer in all of the charities involved, and want to do all I can to support our boys who are out there in difficult places defending our rights.

I am really looking forward to this, and yes it will be a real challenge as the last time I spent any real time on a bike was 12 years ago on the London to Brighton. The event will provide us all with an opportunity to meet new people and have a good time, as well as support a worthy cause.
