My story

[p]VERY PLEASED to report that the Potato Head man (Bob Johnson) did get a new Guinness World Record for the "fastest marathon as a three-dimensional toy (male)" on 22nd April 2018. Guinness set a time of 5hrs and that new record was (mmm just about) smashed with a finish time of 4:59:30. There was a massive 30-seconds to spare so could have done that interview with Colin Jackson after all! Hannah was unable to run (through injury) so her place has been deferred until 2019. Hannah and Bob plan to run the London Marathon in 2019 so the training must go on.[/p][p]Bob and Hannah are grateful to Afghanaid for the marathon place provided so that Hannah can accompany her dad in the 2018 race. The Afghan people have endured decades of hardship and it is a great pleasure to help impoverished ordinary families of such a lovely country. Afghanaid work hard to provide education, water and sanitation services and community infrastructure projects such as hospitals, roads, bridges to empower communities and help them to shape their own development.[/p][p]Please sponsor the 2018 assault on the Guinness World record. Every pound donated will help relieve suffering and hardship in Afghanistan. We will incur expenses of our own but we pledge that none of this will be removed from the charity collection. Your help is greatly appreciated... Many Thanks, Bob and Hannah Johnson[/p]
