I'm running for The Soldiers Charity

[p]Inspired and motivated by the sterling efforts of ‘Capt Tom’ I wanted to do something to show my continued support to the Soldiers Charity. Prior to lockdown, like many others I had ran many miles in preparation for the London Marathon and I just didn’t want the training to go to waste and coupled with the fact that the coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on fundraising both for the charity and those trying to raise sponsorship why not run my own marathon. [/p][p]Capt Tom showed me that anything is possible and I want to dig deep and hopefully with the help of friends and family raise some funds in order for the charity to continue their amazing work…maybe I can aim high and do a ‘Capt Tom’ and if I reach my target of [b]£1k [/b]and beyond[b] [/b]I will continue to do run / walk the distance of a marathon every day until VE Day! [/p][p]For those of you that don't know the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity are for soldiers, for life. They provide financial assistance to all soldiers and their families when in need. Even when a soldier leaves the Army they are still part of the family and eligible for help. The scope of their work is huge. Half of their money is given direct to individuals to help in areas such as debt relief, mobility assistance, education bursaries, care home fees and respite breaks. The other half is given as grants to other charities.
