My story

<h3>***2011 London Triathlon completed in 2:32:29. Thanks to all who donated - you are heroes***</h3> <h3>-----------------------------------------------</h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">At the end of July 2011 I'll be swimming, cycling, and running my way around London all for the<strong> British Heart Foundation</strong>.</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">I'm doing the <strong>Olympic distance triathlon</strong>, which for those of you impressed by numbers is:</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">1500m swim</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">40km cycle</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">10km run</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">And if that dazzled you, here's a grim counter-stat:</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><em>"In 2009, over 180,000&nbsp;</em></span><a href="http://www.bhf.org.uk/heart-health/statistics/idoc.ashx?docid=696f9f0f-d77c-40a6-849a-f357199933c2&amp;version=-1"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: normal;"><em>people died from cardiovascular disease</em></span></span></a><span style="font-weight: normal;"><em>&nbsp;(CVD)&nbsp;in the UK -&nbsp;<strong>one in three of all deaths.</strong></em><em>"</em> - BHF</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">With that sort of information, you'd be <strong>foolish not to empty your wallets</strong>. Statistically, it's probable any money you donate will go back into <strong>saving your life</strong> or someone very close to you.</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">Think of it as life insurance, but with the added glory of <strong>watching me suffer</strong> as I wade through the Thames, get a puncture by Big Ben, and trip over my laces at the finish line (actual events may vary...)</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">Feel free to donate as little or as much as you like to this worthwhile cause and remember to <strong>eat well and exercise regularly</strong>: healthy hearts make happy people!</span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></span></h3> <h3><span style="font-weight: normal;">Thank you kindly.</span></h3>
