My story

[p] Support the Rev Julie Boyd, the Revving Rev, and her family as they go on a sponsored motorcycle ride to Scotland in memory of Andrew Boyd. [/p][p] Julie and Matthew and their daughter Hattie will leave for Scotland on August 13th 2018 at 11am. First of all Julie and Hattie need to learn to ride motorbikes !![/p][p] By supporting the Boyd family you will be supporting St. Faith's Church! [/p][p] Help them create a new community support centre and meeting place in the heart of the community. [/p][p] This new centre in Gaywood will be where you will find a new church office, a drop-in centre and a cafe with a friendly welcome and a place that serves you.[/p][p] Local support groups and networks will be able to support the people in their care by using this welcoming cafe space with private consultation rooms and welcoming gardens in the privacy of the grounds of the church. (The building that has previously been known as the Church Bungalow).[/p][p] As this project is launched, the church is delighted to announce that West Norfolk MIND will have free use of this space for their weekly meetings for the first 3 years after the centre is opened.[/p][p] Sponsor the Boyd family as they 'rev it up' in memory of Andrew.[/p][p] For Rev Julie Boyd, the Rector for St. Faith's, and her husband Matthew, West Norfolk MIND hold a special place in their hearts as sadly, their son Andrew took his own life last year and so this summer they are planning a sponsored event in memory of Andrew.[/p][p] [/p][p] Rev Julie says, "Andrew was a keen motorcyclist and often suggested that his sister Hattie and I should learn to ride. At his funeral last year we made a promise that we would do exactly that and now the time has come to fulfil that promise. Andrew left behind three motorbikes and so his sister and I will be learning to ride and then all three of us will be riding up to Scotland to raise money for this project."[/p][p] So the Reverend is 'revving it up!' for the first time ever, have never ridden a bike before in her life. By sponsoring the Boyd family you will be supporting St. Faith's Church in the creation of their new centre and you will also be supporting West Norfolk MIND to provide them with a new welcoming meeting place.[/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p][p] [/p]
