My story

[p]In 2018 in the first Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks 33 mile walk, three men raised more than £25,000 (£32,000 with gift aid) for the amazing, if unfashionable, Woodlarks Charity which provides unique holidays for severely handicapped young people and adults. Without the Woodlarks camp very few of those folks would get a holiday at all.[/p][p]Last year Woodlarks operating expenses were £115,000 which shows how vital this walk is to its future. But there is so much more that the volunteers could do and so much – maintenance work that must be done – if only Woodlarks had more money. You can see what amazing work Woodlarks does HERE.[/p][p]The three controversial rogue bloggers (Lucian Miers, Tom Winnifrith and Brokerman Dan) will be back for another walk in 2019, on Saturday May 25, and this time the target fund raise is £40,000 as they will be joined by others aiming to assist this great cause.[/p][p]Mining boss Andrew Bell completed 18 miles in 2018 but is determined to go the whole way in 2019. He will be joined by investor Winston Smith and by legendary 76 year old Fleet Street veteran Brian Basham on the walk from Horse Hill to the Woodlarks camp. Also now signed up are controversial tweeter Jonathan Price and his son James. And top London broker Andrew Monk of VSA Capital has now also agreed to take part. Meanwhile pizza hardman Darren Atwater has agreed to trundle the last 10 miles. And then there were 14, one current and one ex employee of local accountants Caldwell Penn will be joining the rogue bloggers: Suzanna Miers and Jamie Ungless, our first two female rogue bloggers.[/p][p]We hope that others will agree to take part and we will add their names to this page when they commit. If you are interested in joining us on the walk, which starts at 6 AM, email tomat49@gmail.com[/p][vmgvideo class="ql-video" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/AP_0D-Xujec?showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3"][/vmgvideo][p][br][/p]

I object to charities, we should look after all our citizens in need without charities , many charities are lifestyle organisations for those running them. Woodlarks is one exception where a little money is well used.
