Team story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2016 London Legal sponsored walk.[/p][p]Our team is made of: Lady Justice Gloster, Lord Justice Floyd, Mrs Justice Asplin, Mr Justice Birss, Mr Justice Flaux, Mrs Justice Simler, Mrs Justice Patterson, Bruce Harris, Sophie Arkette, Mr Justice Snowden, Stephen Fash[/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for both the Rolls Building Art and Education Trust and the London Legal Support Trust.[/p][p]The Rolls Building was opened by Her Majesty the Queen on 7th December 2011. As  the new home of the Chancery Division, the Admiralty and Commercial Court and the Technology and Construction Court it is the largest specialist centre for the resolution of financial, business and property litigation in the world.[/p][p]The Rolls Building Art & Education Trust (RBAET) has been established to commission and deploy artistic and historical items to promote awareness of the law and the business-related justice system among young people, working with education organisations such as the National Centre for Citizenship & the Law  who already run activities for schools and colleges at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Supreme Court.  The RBAET is grateful to the London Legal Support Trust for enabling 50% of the funds its team raises on the London Legal Walk to be put towards developing the educational programme recently piloted at the Rolls Building. [/p][p]The London Legal Support Trust funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London. We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation.[/p][p]We also know how short they are of the funds to continue that work.[/p][p]Further information about the Trust’s educational and art activities can be found on its website  www.rbaet.org.uk[/p][p]Please donate as generously as you are able[/p][p]Many thanks for your support[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
