My story

[p]I am currently rowing across the Atlantic Ocean with a team of 11 other adventurers on the maiden voyage of ROXY, an ocean Rowing boat built by Rannoch, as part of a series of Roxy expeditions planned by Rannoch Adventures.[/p][p]We are rowing from the Canary Islands to Antigua - 3000 miles (without any support) and rowing in shifts of 3 hours on / 3 hours off. During this physically and emotionally demanding challenge, we will face waves of up to 40ft and suffer sea sickness, blisters, salt sores and sleep deprivation![/p][p]You can follow my journey in a number of ways:[/p][p]* Going to Rannochadventure.com and using the 'Track Roxy' button or reading the blog from me and the rest of the Roxy crew.[/p][p]* Following my wife on Instagram for regular updates: melanielyddon[/p][p]Two years ago my wife Mel was diagnosed with breast Cancer. The treatment and support we have been given by the Macmillan Cancer Unit at Hereford Hospital has been truly exceptional.[/p][p]We are hoping to raise what we can to help Macmillan Cancer Support continue to provide this vital support to the 360,000 people who are diagnosed in the UK with cancer every year.[/p][p]You never know when you might need them so please donate what you can.[/p][p]Thank you,[/p][p]from The Lyddons xxxx[/p][p][br][/p][p]"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain".[/p][p]A diagnosis of cancer is life changing but with the right support it is possible to learn to dance in the rain[/p][p][br][/p][p]?Macmillan Cancer Support[/p][p]We're here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we're right there with you. [/p][p]For information, support or just someone to talk to, call 0808 808 00 00 or visit macmillan.org.uk.
