Team story

[p]Dr Mark de Rond and Anton Wright from the University of Cambridge are embarking on an amazing challenge:[/p][p]"We aim to row the entire length of the Amazon unsupported, some 2,200 miles, and, if successful, are likely to be the first in history to have achieved this. [/p][p]The adventure begins in Peru on 1 September, and our goal is to reach the Brazilian coast six weeks later."  [/p][p]Mark has spent several years observing and researching teams of people in difficult circumstances, and has decided it's time to experience first-hand what an endeavour like this will yield by joining Anton on his expedition.[/p][p]“Along the way we would like to raise money for Leonard Cheshire Disability and their partner organisations in South America.  Leonard Cheshire Disability is a charity supporting disabled people to live independently, to contribute economically, and to participate fully in society both here in the UK and in over 50 countries worldwide.[/p][p]Please help us make a difference to the lives of disabled people around the world by donating today.”[/p][p]Thank You[/p][p]For more information about Mark and Anton's challenge, visit: [url=http://www.rowtheamazon.com/]www.rowtheamazon.com[/url][/p]
