London Marathon

[p]This year I'm running 42.2km in support of [b]GIRLS![/b][/p][p]Now, I don't have much experience being a girl, but it doesn't take much listening to understand that things aren’t the way they should be. [b]Growing up female can be tough. [/b][/p][p]It's pretty obvious by now that we don't have enough women in positions of power around the world - and social conventions like [b]child marriage, gender stereotypes and violence all hold girls back[/b] from seizing their potential.[/p][p]The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) does absolutely critical work linking 150+ member organisations globally who work together to end the practices and norms that stand in every girl's way. They do it through campaigning and [b]instilling girls with the confidence and leadership skills to fulfil their ambitions[/b].[/p][p]So in solidarity with girls everywhere I'm going to drag my frame around London for three hours and something minutes. [b]YOU ALONE[/b] have the power to elevate this act of self-torture to one of noble hardship: by donating [u]generously[/u] to WAGGGS.[/p][p]I've been assured that, while there are no cookies on offer in return, you will receive at least 1 Girl Guide Karma Point for each pound donated - which is equivalent to helping an old lady across the road. And when was the last time you helped Mrs Thistlebottom with her groceries, anyway?[/p][p]Please raid the virtual change jar [u]vigorously[/u] in support of this excellent cause.[/p][p]Thank you.
