Saskia's year in Guyana with Project Trust

[p]Hi, my name is Saskia, I'm 17 years old and in sixth year at North Berwick High School. I am currently fundraising to volunteer in Guyana, South America, for a year after leaving school (August 2018-August 2019).[/p][p]During my time in Guyana I will be teaching maths and science in a secondary school. I will live in a rural community where there is a real shortage of teachers so I will not be taking away a job from a local person. I will have the opportunity to fully integrate into the community allowing me to experience a new culture and way of life. I hope to have a positive impact while in Guyana by sharing the great education I have been lucky to have. [/p][p]I am volunteering with Project Trust, an educational charity that has been sending school leavers to volunteer overseas since 1967.
