My story

[p]PULL OUT THE STOPS![/p][p]Help us raise our last £10,000 by sponsoring a pipe from our organ, which is currently being restored to its former glory.[/p][p]Would you like to dedicate an organ pipe to someone special? Is there someone you want to honour who has heroically carried on serving the community during these difficult weeks? Someone with something to celebrate? A new baby perhaps? Or in memory of someone amongst your family or friends who has very sadly died ?[/p][p]The organ, at St Mellitus Church in Tollington Park, is of unique historical and cultural value, as an instrument which was built to commemorate local men who went to fight in the First World War.[/p][p]In recognition of this, it has received a grant from the National Heritage Lottery Fund, but we need further funds to ensure the legacy of this ‘king of instruments’, to remember the men who went to war and bring the organ back to life, giving the local community and wider public access to one of London’s finest organs.[/p][p]The money you give will also support an exciting programme of historical, educational, musical and community activities, offering opportunities for local people. Visit our website to find out more www.stmellitusorgan.co.uk [/p][p]Please help us get ready to pull out the stops for its centenary in December 2020. [/p][p]You can sponsor a pipe by making one of the following suggested donations:[/p][p]£5 [/p][p]£10[/p][p]£25[/p][p]£50[/p][p]£100[/p][p]£250[/p][p]£500[/p][p]Other: (please specify)………..[/p][p]You can dedicate your donation to someone special, can receive a commemorative certificate as well as be incuded in the book of donors to be held at St Mellitus church. You'll receive all the information you need to do this once you've made your donation.[/p][p]For other information about the project, including how to get involved and future events, contact:[/p][p]Kirsten Walton – kirstenw.organ.project@gmail.com[/p][p]or[/p][p]Emma Beck - emma.st.mellitus.organ.project@gmail.com[/p][p]Follow our progress on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter #StMellitusOrgan [/p]
