My story

[p]These are unprecedented times that we are all living through at the present due to the Corona virus and it means for a lot of charities across the world they have an uncertain future. The number of people giving to a good cause is down and some figures put the estimated loss of charitable donations in 12 weeks at £4.3 BILLION! [/p][p]My name is Steve, I am employed as a nurse by Jessie May, we are a children's hospice at home charity in your local area and we are part of the group I have spoken about above. We need to continue to bring in money as we are out there on the front line fighting this horrid virus. The children we look after are terminally ill and are at greater risk than most from Corona virus. The nurses at our charity continue to visit the children on our caseload at home and risk catching Corona virus every day. We also have a team behind us that provide Admin support as well as a fundraising team. We need people like you to donate money to Jessie May so we can continue the fight against Corona virus and keep our nurses providing the amazing support to all the families on our caseload.[/p][p]This isn't the first time I have done something crazy to raise money for Jessie May, last year I ran for 24 hours continuously. This year I am back along with my dad, Neil, to undertake a new challenge. The challenge is to ascend and descend the height of Mount Everest by climbing up and down our staircases at home. We do not live together but will be undertaking this challenge at the same time. We will have to ascend and descend our staircases 3375 times! we plan to do this across two days and estimate it will take about 15 hours. [/p][p]Please donate any sum that you feel you can spare, we understand that everyone is watching thier pennies at the moment but without your support we couldnt continue to support terminally ill children in your local community. Thank you for all your support and please do not underestimate your donation, every single penny will go towards the children on our caseload.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Steve and Neil [/p]
