My story

[p]Thanks for visiting my page![/p][p]22nd April I will be running the London Marathon in order to raise money for Headway Suffolk.[/p][p]Sadly 2017 didn’t end particularly well for one of my work colleagues, he’s currently receiving treatment for a brain injury following a stroke just after Christmas. His recovery will be slow but I know that with charities such as Headways he can get the help and support he needs to get him back on track if and when he needs them.[/p][p]Headway Suffolk is a registered charity in England that offers advice, support, rehabilitation and support services to adults who have, or during their lifetime, sustained a brain injury through traumatic accident, stroke, virus, tumor, neurological conditions or other similar event. With neuro hubs based in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, their services are offered to those in the areas of Suffolk and South Norfolk.[/p][p]I have completed several races in the last couple of years since I found my love for running, mainly half marathons so this will be my first full Marathon and with your help we can do something really special to support Headway. [/p][p]I’m running the London Marathon with the support of RCR (Rushmere Community Runners) a local community running group based in Ipswich and hope to complete some fundraising activities with them.[/p][p] Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
