Team story

[p]Hi Everyone,[/p][p]Thank you for showing your support by visiting our page and hopefully spending lots of money whilst you are here…[/p][p]Some of the more crazy people at Tarsus have decided to take on the Three Peaks Challenge, and raise some money for charity.[/p][p]The challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. It will be a gruelling day but the team are physically and mentally preparing themselves for exhaustion, sleep deprivation, hunger, blisters and Sergeant John Davy’s persistence to run.[/p][p]We are raising money for 'Events for Namuwongo', an organisation that works with the community in Kampala, Uganda to facilitate real change. In spite of their life-threatening living conditions, the inhabitants are hardworking, energetic people, striving to solve their own problems and improve their lives. By supporting Events for Namuwongo, you can help them do that.[/p][p]http://www.eventsfornamuwongo.com/page.cfm/Link=0/t=m/goSection=1[/p][p]The majority of the Tarsus team are not taking this challenge lightly; all but Ben Walton intend to train hard so we are fighting fit to attack those peaks come August 31 2013. There will be regular blog updates at http://tarsus3peaks.wordpress.com/ over the next few months so you can follow how we are getting on, and see lots of awful photos showcasing our tears, tantrums and hopefully progress to becoming mountaineers.[/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
