Then the offer came of 4 tickets for the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest race. Starting at 9:30am tomorrow morning, it seemed like a perfect start to the weekend.[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]Being unfit but ambitious, we all signed on the dotted line. 7 days later, we are facing up to the reality. We are going to be leaving tomorrow at 6:45am in order to arrive in time for registration. We'll then run/scramble/swim/climb around the 12km course - vying with 5,000 other competitors to put in a half decent time.[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]quality:'high',wmode:'transparent',src:'http://www.youtube.com/v/llWBfsyjWKE',width:'425',height:'350'[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]Since we are under no illusions about our abilities, we are hoping some of you good hearted people will sacrifice a pint or two this weekend, and instead donate it to the Bansang Hospital Appeal. Your donations will give us the kick up the bum that'll we'll no doubt need when we find ourselves clambering through a pool full of ice, swimming across the Trent or dragging ourselves through the myriad of muddy obstacles! By donating via Virgin Money Giving, you will also be making the most cost effective donation to the charity, helping it continue in its incredible efforts to transform the lives of some of Africa's poorest (yet most friendly and wonderful) people.[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]If you know Laurence, you'll already know about the Appeal...if you don't yet know about it, please take a look at the website, or watch the BBC video below;[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]quality:'high',wmode:'transparent',src:'http://youtu.be/u2DhsxPiFvc',width:'450',height:'415'[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]We hope y[lt]/div[gt][lt]h2 style="text-align: center;"[gt] Mark, Fernely, Thomas, Umar and Laurence take on Men's Health 'Survival of the Fittest' 2013[lt]/h2[gt][lt]h3 style="text-align: center;"[gt][span=font-style: italic; font-size: 1.17em;]Running/ clambering/ swimming/ slithering in support of the [/span]Bansang Hospital Appeal[lt]/h3[gt][p][/p][p]This time last week, we were arranging a rather sedate weekend in Nottingham - our friend Dan's 30th being our focus.
