My story

[p]Tour of Europe - Oslo to Stavanger 2019[/p][p]Team PDR return to the annual Tour of Europe charity bike ride this year which is set to take place the week commencing 29th July 2019.[/p][p]Paul Dransfield and Lee Newsham of PDR will join a team of cyclists riding from Oslo to Stavanger in Norway covering over 300 miles and Heaven knows how many vertical metres along the way in the Norwegian Hills! [/p][p]As many of you will now know, Tour of Europe organiser and Paul's brother Mark Dransfield sadly lost his wife Debs to cancer in January this year after being very ill throughout 2018, and so this year's ride has some special poignancy and half of our fundraising will go to Action Against Cancer in Debs memory.[/p][p]We also continue to support Jamie Loncaster's Memorial Fund at Cardiac Risk in the Young which provides free heart screenings for young people looking for undiagnosed heart conditions that are usually fully treatable if known about. Jamie died tragically and suddenly from severe myocarditis in 2015. Jamie was 13 and the youngest son of our former PDR colleague Graham, who has recently re-joined us to assist with our Social Media. Jamie's fund has already paid for over a thousand young people to be screened. The reasons for our ongoing and unwavering support of this cause will be obvious to all and C-R-Y will receive the other half of our fundraising total. [/p][p]For more information on the above charities please visit http://aacancer.org/ and http://www.jamieloncaster.co.uk/.[/p][p]We cover all of our own costs of attending this event ensuring that all of the money you donate is delivered directly to frontline resources where it can make a real difference to people’s lives.[/p][p]Since the Tour of Europe challenge started in 2007 riding from London to Paris, it has cycled through eleven countries and raised almost £500,000 in support of a number of amazing charities.[/p][p]We appreciate your support and encouragement so please dig deep and please follow us on Twitter @PDR_Team https://twitter.com/pdr_team where we will be live tweeting our progress.[/p][p]Thank you[/p][p]Paul & Lee @ Team PDR[/p][p][img][/img][/p]

Alec and RPMS Lettings

A belated well done to Paul and Lee ably supported by the rest of team Dransfield. As usual the terrain was flat and the weather sunny and in the mid 20's I understand (not), same old tales, but, well worth the effort!!
