My story

[p]Many thanks for visiting my page. It goes without saying that there are so many people out there helping to get our country back on track at the moment, not least in the NHS, and it's easy to feel helpless sat at home.[/p][p]Staying at home still has its fair share of difficulties for all of us but I'm fortunate enough that my work is on hold for May while this passes. This means I have more time than most to try and do something a little different. I therefore decided to put myself through a challenge to show some support for the many who have serious challenges to get through at this time.[/p][p]I therefore intend to run the date every day in May. What is that? Simple. On 1st May, I'll run 1km, on 2nd 2km and so on to the 31st on which I'll run 31km. This is 496km in total in May, hence my fundraising target, including a 196km final week. A list of the distances involved is shown in the attached image.[/p][p]I'd be particularly delighted if anyone else wishes to share the challenge, even for just one of the days. If you can walk, jog, run or crawl 4km, for example, then get out on the 4th and do it. If you can do more then wait until later in the month and give yourself more of a challenge. [/p][p]On top of all of that, by giving a donation to those helping us and risking their own lives in the NHS at the moment, you would make this all worthwhile. If you just want to follow my journey, I'd be extremely grateful and would massively appreciate any contributions you are comfortable with. I'll keep you up to date with the increasing pain more regularly at[/p][p]Www.longruntom.com[/p][p]It is important to say that, while lockdown is ongoing, I intend to only spend an hour or so completing the distance outside. The remainder will be completed on a treadmill at home. Hopefully by the end, and the longer distances, we will have a little more freedom and so being out for longer will be more acceptable. [/p][p]Many thanks again in advance[/p]
