My story

[p]You remember when 2020 was a date in the movies, that mythical year from the future!! Well it is almost here now! [/p][p]London marathon is celebrating it's 40th event next year, and in a strange twist of fate I am 40 as well in 2020. And so is born my personal challenge, I am running 40 races between now and London marathon 2020, in fact the big day will be my 40th race!! This is a big personal challenge requiring me to run a race pretty much every week between now and 26th April, but hey life's boring without a challenge right!! I have selected Shelter as my charity to support during this challenge. [/p][p]Life can change at any moment for any one of us. Just because today you have a home, a family, a job, that is no guarantee that you will have tomorrow, gives you a bit of a grounding that doesn't it!![/p][p]During my runs I see people walking past homeless people, almost sneering at them in some cases and it really angers me. These people are not living this way through a choice. Each and every single person has a story to tell, a life lived and if you stop and take 5 minutes of your day to speak, you will see this as well!! [/p][p]Shelter helps 170,000 people a year fight for their rights, get back on their feet and find and keep a home. Your money can help tackle the root causes of Britains housing crisis by helping Shelter to campaign for new laws, policies and solutions.[/p][p]You can keep up with how my challenge is going on Twitter @type1bri and Instagram @type1bri_ using the #40for40 and #t1drunswithme[/p]
