Team story

[p]We are three brothers, who on Friday the 13th of July (Good start) are planning to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Gloucestershire Care Services. For those of you who do not know, the Three Peaks Challenge is climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales (Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon), often within 24 hours. Our chosen charity is one that is very close to our hearts. Earlier this year we lost our Grandma to a long fought battle with cancer. In the last month or two of her life the district nurses from Gloucestershire Care Services worked tirelessly, visiting multiple times a day in some cases, to ensure she was comfortable and could stay at home rather than be in a hospital. For these nurses nothing was too much trouble, they made sure our Grandma could be surrounded by family and comfortable making the situation considerably less stressful. Gloucestershire Care Services provide specialist care and nursing for around 635,000 children and adults, however, it is not just these people that their care and attention benefits. Their work helps to keep hospitals less crowded and takes an immediate strain off other services ensuring better care is available for everyone. We are sure many others have benefitted from the work of this incredible service and any donations you choose to make would help to support care for those who need it. Please donate anything you can, Thank you! [/p]

Jake, a bit belated - not that I doubted you and your significantly larger brothers would manage the task - a great effort and many congratulations or raising such an amount for charity.
