Story

[p]On 17th September 2018, my Dad, Andrew Davies, passed away following a very brave battle with cancer. During his last days he was cared for at Ty Bryngwyn Hospice, Llanelli.[/p][p]We did everything we could to try to keep him at home, however as time progressed it became clear that we were not able to provide the care he needed.[/p][p]The care provided by the staff at Ty Bryngwyn just could not be faulted. They treated him with the upmost care and with dignity, taking care of his every need and keeping him comfortable. For a man, who had never been in hospital and didn't like a fuss being made of him, to tell us he was happy and comfortable there, said it all.[/p][p]Not only did they care for my Dad, but they recognised us as a family ensuring we were kept informed at every stage and were always available if we needed to talk.[/p][p]The nurses and consultants all treated him like he was a member of their family. They made our last days with him easier, allowing us to concentrate on him as a person, rather than him as a patient...and for that we will be forever grateful.[/p][p]A donation to this fantastic charity, however small, will help them to continue providing the kind of care we received, to others in their time of need.[/p][p]Thank you.[/p]

Thank you to all the staff for the wonderful care they gave to my husband. Losing him was devastating for me but that wonderful team supported us all to try to ease the pain.
