[p][span=text-decoration: underline;]Celebrating the Life of Barry Blue Covington (Baz)[/span][/p][p]Baz was a keen cyclist who inspired everyone with his astonishing feats of endurance such as his recent 900 miles in 5 days London-Edinburgh-London ride, Newcastle to London ride where he came first out of 400 riders or competing last year in the Amateur World Championships as part of Team GB in Perth Australia. As soon as he finished one ride he was already looking for his next challenge.[/p][p]On the 27th August 2017, Barry was competing once again as part of Team GB in the Gran Fondo race which is part of the UCI Amateur Cycling World Championships in Albi, France when he suffered from severe heat exhaustion and was rushed to hospital. After a week in hospital he sadly passed away on 4th September 2017 with his loved ones by his side.[/p][p]Everyone who knew Barry was proud of how much he had achieved in his 36 years and the difference he made in the world by raising signifcant amounts of money for various charities. So in his honour and through his love of cycling we would like to support a local cycling charity Wheels for Wellbeing based in Brixton. Wheels for Wellbeing aims to enhance disabled people’s lives by ensuring that anyone can access the physical, emotional, practical and social benefits of cycling. [/p][p]You can show your support by donating whatever you can afford to this great cause. Every penny raised will help more disabled people discover the joy of cycling. Thanks for your support, we really appreacite your generosity. [/p]
