[p]I have a beautiful and special daughter, who happens to have Sotos syndrome. A rare genetic disorder, which doesn’t define her or indeed make her any less amazing, but it sure as hell will impact upon her life. That is why I have, as an overweight and unfit runner decided to run 10km to raise money for the Child Growth Foundation.[/p][p] [/p][p]They are a leading charity supporting children, adults and families affected by growth conditions and do some amazing work. As they say, having a rare condition that people haven't heard of, often including health professionals, can be a daunting and isolating experience.[/p][p] [/p][p]This is why they do so much work supporting children and adults with growth related issues, as well as their families; fund research; support health professionals in the diagnosis and management of these conditions, whilst always looking to raise awareness of growth conditions.[/p][p] [/p][p]Please therefore help me raise as much as possible for this wonderful charity.[/p][p] [/p][p]Thanks in advance.[/p]
