[p]Kirsty influenced so many people during her life. As mum to Joshua & Oliver she has shaped the start of their lives, no doubt to great things. She was incredibly proud of the amazing young men they are becoming (even if she didn’t always understand the rules of the sport they were playing!).[/p][p]As a friend she was always there for people. Be it delivering freshly prepared food to those with a new born baby, to being a friendly ear to listen to someone’s problem or simply as company (usually G&T in hand) for an evening out.[/p][p]Professionally she cared deeply for her patients - always going far above what was expected to ensure that they received the very best care. She undertook so many more roles both in the NHS and outside, particularly to help develop and train the next generation of GPs.[/p][p]The pressures of working as a GP are significant, especially at this time. The current Covid pandemic has placed incredible stress on the NHS and Kirsty was always first to support her colleagues in their time of need. Unfortunately, this meant that too often she neglected her own mental health.[/p][p]Kirsty battled her own mental health issues throughout her student and working life. She left us too early, but I know she would support the choice of Doctors’ Support Network as a charity to benefit from her legacy and as a way to remember her.[/p][p]Your donation will make a difference to those doctors struggling at this difficult time. On behalf of both Doctors Support Network & Kirsty I thank you for your kind gift[/p]

I worked with Kirsty at the University - she was an enthusiastic, generous, and deeply kind colleague. My thoughts are with her family. She will be greatly missed.

I knew Kirsty as a doctor, where I found her to be very supportive, and as a fellow member of Sew in the City and was floored to read about this when I went on the Crystal Peaks Medical Centre website tonight. Such a shame.

I’m absolutely heartbroken for Kirsty’s family, friends and colleagues, having only just heard the news. She always had time for people, and genuinely cared - a huge loss.

Such sad news, Kirsty was the best GP myself and my family have had the pleasure to know. Nothing was too much trouble, she always had time to talk and listen. We are overwhelmed with sadness at this early loss of an inspirational professional.
